A hat-helmet is a very practical and at the same time beautiful product, which many associate with a happy childhood. Knit this, or a slightly more relevant model, with knitting needles.
This yarn product is a real salvation in the cold season for many babies who are not too worried about health, because a hat-helmet protects not only the ears and head, but also the baby's throat precisely due to the fact that it fits snugly to the neck. Therefore, to tie a similar product for a boy or girl is simply necessary. And how the kids look in them - lovely!
Knitted hat-hat for girls and boys
A hat-cap successfully combines two useful products: in fact, a hat, as well as a scarf, or rather, a shirt-front, which, moreover, can become a real decoration of a particular model. A hat-cap can be decorated with interesting voluminous patterns, ears, tassels, pompons and other cute additions.
A lot of possible hat-helmet models were invented, and each of them is good in its own way. But, regardless of the choice of model, it is very important to choose yarn that will not be pricked, because it will constantly touch the forehead, cheeks and neck of the child. Comfort is first and foremost, and the choice of product form for girls and boys is later on.

With circular knitting: 2l, insert the right knitting needle under the broaches from the bottom up, then into the front loop from left to right (as when knitting the front loop) and knit the broaches with the front together to make 1 front loop, 1 l.
Knit 3-stitch butterfly - with circular knitting: 1l, insert the right knitting needle under the broaches from the bottom up, then into the front loop from left to right (as when knitting the front loop) and knit the broaches with the front together to make 1 front loop, 1l.
Working process:
Knitting begins with the neck. On the auxiliary thread with knitting needles No. 3, dial 110 p., Connect knitting in a circle and knit 1-2 rows with front loops, go to the main color thread and knit 1-2 rows with front loops (so that it would then be easier to lift the loops from the auxiliary thread), then 5 cm (20 rows) with an elastic band of 1 persons. on 1 out.
Add evenly 20 loops from the broach: (5l, increase, 6l, increase) x 10 times. Total 130 loops.
Go to the 3.5 mm knitting needles and knit 5 rows with facial loops. In the next row, close 33 loops for the oval of the face, then through the row (in the front rows), reduce another four times 1 loop at the beginning and at the end of the row. Total closed to the oval face 41 loop. There are 89 loops left on the needles.
The rapport of the butterfly pattern is 10 loops and 10 rows, the rapport from the butterfly is 5 loops and 5 faces. stitches alternate staggered.

Features of knitting some loops in patterns:
How to knit a shirt front for a hat-helmet:
Carefully unfold the auxiliary thread and raise 110 loops.
For the shirt front, you can use any pattern and pattern or knit raglan. I took a simple outline of the leaves.
Pattern repeat at the beginning of 10 loops: 5l, 5i. Only 11 rapports.
Shirtless knitting:
1) (5l, 5i) x11 times;
2) all even rows fit in the pattern;
3) (2l, double crochet, 1l, double crochet, 2l, 5i) x11 times = 132p .;
5) (7l, 5i) x11 times;
7) (3l, double crochet, 1l, double crochet, 3l, 5i) x11 times = 154p .;
9) (9l, 5i) x11 times;
11) (4l, double crochet, 1l, double crochet, 4l, 5i) x11 times = 176p .;
13) (11l, 5i) x11 times;
15) (5l, double crochet, 1i, double crochet, 5l, 5i) x11 times = 198p .;
17) (13l, 5i) x11 times;

27) (2vlp, 1l, 2vl, yarn, 13i, yarn) h11 times;
29) (3vl, yarn, 15i) x11 times;
30) 198l (in this row, the crochets are knitted with a crossed front);
31) 198i;
32) 198l.
Close the loop.
Shirt front 8.5 cm.
Strapping face contour:
Using a hook and a thread, dial 136 mm on the front side of the knitting needles 2.5 mm. The number of loops should be a multiple of two.
Knit one row with the purl stitches, then 14 rows with an elastic band of 1 liter per 1i (3cm). With knitting needles of 3.5 mm, knit one row with facial loops - this is the place of the fold of the elastic, then with 2.5 mm needles, 14 rows of elastic. The width of the finished gum rim 3 cm.
If desired, on the inside of the knitted gum, knit a chain with a crochet elastic thread around the bend area.
The purpose of this gum thread is to prevent the strapping of the oval of the face from stretching.
Hem the knitted elastic band from the inside out along open loops.
- Hat with braids
A beautiful and concise hat with braids that will warm the fidgets and active girls in the cold winter. A characteristic feature of this model is the ability to fasten the product on buttons, which is very comfortable for both the child and mother.
The size:
Shlemik knitted at the age of 1.6.
Head volume 56 cm.
We knit patterns:
- Hosiery knitting (in the front rows knit purl loops);
- Garter stitch;
- “Scythe” - fits from 6 front loops:
1st row: front loops
2 row: back loops
3 row: leave three stitches on the auxiliary knitting needle, knit the next three stitches with the front ones, and then knit the stitches from the auxiliary knitting needle, i.e. knit crossed loops
4 row: back loops
5 row: front loops
6 row: back loops
7 row = 1 row.
Materials for work:
First we knit a bar that will go along the oval of the face.
To do this, we collect 7 loops on knitting needles No. 3 and we knit a 125 garter stitch. At the end of the loop we close, cut the thread.
63 loops come out along the long edge of the resulting strip, and we need to dial 106 loops. To do this, I first crocheted No. 3 one row of single crochet columns this way: alternating 2 loops and 3 loops (I knit 2 from one loop). Next, we draw on the knitting needles No. 4 along the long side of 106 loops.
Knitted 106 loops in this way: 1 hem, 2 loops of handkerchief, * 2 loops of smooth surface, 6 loops of braid, 2 loops of smooth surface, 4 loops of scarf *, 2 loops of smooth surface, 2 loops of scarf, 1 hem. From * to * - rapport, repeat it to the end of the row. We knit so 43 rows.
We divide the loops into 3 parts, 35 loops on the sides and 36 loops in the middle, we knit a “cap” according to the heel principle.
44th row: we knit 35 side loops according to the drawing, making 4 loops from 6 loops of “braid” (close 2 loops in each “braid”); We knit 36 loops of the middle according to the picture without changes; we knit the last 35 loops according to the drawing, making 4 loops from the “braid” loops.
45th row: we knit 35 side loops according to the pattern, 35 middle loops according to the pattern, and we knit the 36th middle loop along with the next loop. We turn the knitting.
46th row: remove 1 loop (this will be the edge loop) without knitting. We knit 35 loops of the middle according to the figure, and we knit the 36th loop together with the next loop. Turn over the knitting again.
It turns out a kind of “cap” that looks like a heel when knitting socks.
We continue to knit according to the described pattern, and in the 51-52 row we begin to make symmetrical decreases in the middle 36 loops. In each sixth row, we reduce 2 loops: one on each side of the central “braid” (that is, we do not touch the central “braid” and 2 purl on the sides of it, and we reduce the next loops). We continue to decrease until there are 14-16 loops in the middle.
We knit the cap until all the side loops are over. We close the remaining loops of the middle, cut the thread.
The next stage - we knit the neck, like a shirt shirt. To do this, on the lower edge of the cap, we knit the loops with knitting needles No. 3 in this way: 5 air loops for the strap (I crocheted and then put them on the knitting needles), 74 loops on the lower edge and then again 5 air loops for the strap.
We knit a little more in this way: 1 hem, 6 loops of garter stitch, * 2 loops of front smoothness, 6 loops of “braid”, 2 loops of front smoothness, 5 loops of garter stitch *, (from * to * repeat 4 times), then 2 loops of front smooth, 6 loops of “braid”, 2 loops of the front surface, 6 loops of garter stitch, 1 hem.
On one of the planks we make button loops. To do this, at the beginning of the row we knit 3 loops with a garter stitch, we make 2 crochets. And close the next 2 loops.
We get just such a hole, and above it 2 yarn.
In the next row (on the way back) of 2 yarn over, we knit 2 loops according to the pattern (garter stitch) and get the first hole for the buttons. We do the rest in the same way.
We knit 16 rows without increments, then change the needles to number 4 and make increments. We add loops on the sides of the “braids” and purl loops surrounding them. We have 5 “braids”, we add one loop on each side of the “braid” and we get 10 loops in a row.
I added loops to the middle garter stitches, gradually increasing their number. Increments are performed in the 17th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, 27th rows and so on, until we add 8 loops on each side of the “braid”.
Then we knit another 6-8 rows of garter stitch without increases. Close all the loops.
For boy
Active boys will find it very useful to wear a hat-helmet, which certainly will not fall from the top of the head, and even vice versa - it will reliably protect your ears and neck. How does it fit knitted hat for a boy? The diagram and description will help to figure this out.
- Drop cap
A cute and uncomplicated hat, similar in shape to a drop, will look great on both boys and girls. Its simple design fits easily and looks very harmonious. This hat-cap is perfect for autumn or spring.

With smaller knitting needles, dial 82 (86, 92) loops.
1st row (faces. Party): 1 faces., * 2 faces., 2 out., Repeat from * to last. loops, 1 persons.
2nd row: 1 out., * 2 persons., 2 out., Repeat from * to the last. hinges, 1 out.
1-2 rows is an elastic band, repeat them 3 more times.
Track. row (faces. side): 3 faces., 2 out., 2 faces., put the knitted 7 loops on the loop holder, knit with an elastic band until the last. 7 loops, turn the work and put the last 7 loops on the loop holder = 68 (72, 76) loops.
Go to the big knitting needles.
Track. row: * 4 persons., add a loop, repeat from * to the last. 4 loops, 4 faces. = 84 (89, 94) loops.
Only for sizes 6/12 months. and 4 years: knit facial, add 1 loop in the center of the work = 85 (95) loops.
For all sizes: continue knitting with a garter stitch (knit each row with facial loops) to a height of 16.5 (18, 19) cm, finish on the wrong side.
Next, start to perform the decrease. Knit the following 6 rows: close 5 loops, end the row with facial loops = 55 (59, 65) loops after the 6th row.
Knit the following 10 (12, 12) stitches: close 3 loops, end the row with facial stitches = 25 (29, 29) stitches after the 10 (12, 12) th row.
Close all loops.
Sew back stitch.
Neck:
on the front side with smaller knitting needles, raise 56 (60, 64) loops evenly along the cap, starting from the deferred loops to the back seam and to the deferred loops on the other hand, remove the deferred loops on the same spokes = 70 (74, 78) loops.
Track. row (out. side): 1 out., * 2 persons, 2 out., repeat from * to the last. hinges, 1 out.
Track. row (out.side): 1 persons., * 2 out., 2 persons., repeat from * to the last. loops, 1 persons.
1-2 rows is an elastic band, repeat them to a height of 5 (5.5, 6) cm, finish on the front side.
Close the loops with an elastic band.
Sew a seam of elastic (in the center of the front).
- Hat for babies
Another interesting model of a hat that looks great on boys, but when choosing a brighter yarn, it will also suit the smallest girls.
The size:
46 cm.
Materials for work:
- YarnArtCharisma yarn (80% wool, 20% acrylic, 100 g / 200 m.) -1 skein;
- straight and circular knitting needles 3.5 mm (circular knitting needles 40 cm long).
Knitting density:
23 loops * 34 rows = 10 * 10 cm. 2 * 2 elastic bands.
Working process:
Before the shirt-front
Dial 60 loops.
Knit a trace with an elastic band. way: chrome. loop, * 2 faces., 2 out., repeat from *, finish 2 faces., chrome. the loop.
Continue knitting with an elastic band - 24 rows.
At the same time, in the 7th row of the elastic band, perform the reductions: mark the central 2 loops of work with a marker, knit with an elastic band until the last. 2 loops in front of central loops, 2 together out., 2 faces. (central loops), 2 together out., finish the row with an elastic band.
Next, knit the loop according to the pattern.
Repeat the decrease in 11m, 15m and 19 p. (i.e., in each 4th row - 4 times) = 52 loops on the knitting needles.
Tie up to the 24th row.
Trim the thread and set aside the part.
Shirt front
Dial 60 loops.
Knit with a pattern of elastic bands as for the front, at the same time perform the reduction as in the front in 13m, 17m, 21m and 25m rows.
In total, knit 30 rows of elastic.
Do not break the threads.
Shirtless Compound
Continue knitting the back loops together with the front loops on the circular knitting needles.
Knit in a circle with an elastic band 2 persons., 2 out. - 3 cm. (10 rows).
A cap
Put the central 18 loops of the front part on the hinge holder.
Continue knitting in rotary rows, while simultaneously closing on each side in each second row 2 loops - 5 times = 66 loops.
Knit with a pattern of elastic to a height of 13 cm. From deferred loops (= 44 rows).
Divide the loops into 3 parts: 21 loops, marker, 24 loops, marker, and 21 loops.
Track. row (faces. side): knit with a rubber band 21 loops to the marker, reshoot the marker, knit a trace with an elastic band. 23 loops (1 loop in front of the marker), remove the loop, 1 person., Throw the removed loop on the knitted one, turn the work.
Track. row (out side): remove the loop, knit 22 loops with an elastic band, 2 together out (the marker to remove), rotate the work.
Track. row (faces. side): remove the loop, knit 22 loops with an elastic band, remove the loop, 1 person., throw the removed loop over the knitted one, turn the work.
Track. row (out side): remove the loop, knit 22 loops with an elastic band, 2 together out., turn the work.
Repeat 1-2 rows until all side loops are reduced = 24 loops on the spoke.
Track. row: knit 24 loops with an elastic band, raise 25 loops evenly along the side of the cap, knit loops from the loop holder as * 1 out., 1 person. repeat from * for all 18 loops, raise 25 loops evenly along the second side of the cap = 92 loops.
Continue knitting in a circle with an elastic band of 1 person. / 1 out. - 8 rows.
To close the loops with an elastic band (how to close the loops with an elastic band, see the video).
We sew a lining:
We carry out the pattern of the cap of your size in full size (we use the pattern that was drawn when knitting the cap, we translate the number of loops and rows into centimeters using the density of knitting).
We take fabric - fleece. Check which side stretches (should stretch to the width of the cap).
Transfer the pattern to the fabric, cut it out.
To sew two seams on the tops of the cap (see the pattern) to sew the short and long sides, I pulled the short side to the size of the long one, secured it with pins and sewn it.
Sew the first part of the lining to the knitted hat.
Repeat for the second part. Pull the second part across the entire circumference of the cap.
