A paper shell may be simple and inconspicuous, but in some cases it is necessary to apply imagination and creative flair to make a really nice gift. For such cases, step-by-step instructions for making paper envelopes with photos and videos are useful.
Simple envelope
How to make an envelope out of paper? There are several basic ways to quickly and easily create simple envelopes that will be useful in different situations.
Method number 1
For starters, you can make a regular envelope of a classic shape.
What is needed:
- A4 paper sheet;
- Scissors;
- Ruler;
- Pencil;
- Glue or double-sided tape.
How to make a simple envelope:
Place a sheet of paper horizontally on a flat surface. Measure 72 mm from the bottom left corner and mark a point on the paper. Now measure the same distance from the upper right corner and put a mark on the paper. Draw a line from each of these points in the opposite corner of the sheet so that the geometric shape of the parallelogram appears on the paper.
Now, according to the step-by-step instructions, you need to cut off the area from the drawn lines. The sheet must be rotated so that it resembles a rhombus.
Next, we form an envelope: two sides should be bent to the middle. The lower part also needs to be bent to the center, and iron the bend well, so that later it is easy to glue these parts together.
We bend the lower part back so that it does not interfere. On the edges of the side corners you need to distribute glue or double-sided tape. Now we wrap the lower corner of the envelope formed earlier and press it up to the sticky side wings. The product can only be closed, if necessary, sealed.
Method number 2
Another simple method that differs slightly in the instructions, but suddenly someone will like this option more.
What is needed:
- A4 sheet of paper or finished square;
- Scissors;
- Ruler;
- Glue or double-sided tape.
How to make a simple envelope:
If there is a finished square in stock, then you won’t need to cut anything, but if there is standard size paper, you need to cut out the square.
We turn the square so that it resembles a rhombus. Gently bend it in the middle, making a small bend in the center of the figure from the bottom up. Straighten it.
We turn the lower corner to the center so that it abuts against the previously made fold. In the photo the place of the lower boundary is indicated by a dotted line.
Now bend the side wings. You can help yourself with a ruler so that fold lines were flat and neat. Then you need to bend the wings and apply glue on the lower edge of each of them, as shown in the figure. We bend them again, this time gluing them to the central part.
Having made the final fold at the top, the envelope can be considered ready.
Method number 3
Another popular way is to create a rectangular envelope with your own hands.
What is needed:
- A4 paper sheet;
- Scissors;
- Glue or double-sided tape.
How to make a simple envelope:
We fold the standard sheet according to the schematic drawing. When it is folded, one part should be longer than the other by such a distance that a valve can be made from this paper to seal the letter.
On the sides of the long side of the sheet, folds should be made at a distance of 1.5 cm. On most of the sheet, separated by a transverse fold line, both edges outlined by 1.5 cm should be cut off, according to the figure below.
Fold the almost finished envelope along the fold line. the side parts on both sides of the product must be glued.
Trim the corners on the sealing valve and bend it toward the center.
