Ingredients:
- Wheat flour 260-300 grams
- Dry yeast 0.5 tsp
- Olive oil 2-3 tbsp. spoons
- Milk 170 ml.
- Salt 0.5 tsp
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Mackerel (large) 1 piece
- Onions 3 pieces
- Salt, pepper, seasonings for fish to taste
Cooking method:
Step 1. Dilute the yeast in warm milk / water diluted milk, dissolve sugar and salt in it.
Step 2 Pour in vegetable oil, shake with a whisk.
Step 3 Sift flour into milk.
Step 4 Knead with your hands a soft, easily sticky dough. Cover the dough with a cloth, leave for an hour and a half in a warm place.
Step 5 For the filling, cut the mackerel fillet from the bones into cubes, add the finely chopped onion, season with salt, pepper, season with fish spices, mix, cover with cling film / lid, leave to marinate in the refrigerator for the duration of the dough proofing.
Step 6 When the dough rises well (2-3 times), divide it into 2 parts: one (for the base) is larger, the second is slightly smaller. Roll out most of it into a 5 mm round seam.
Step 7 Put the fish filling on it without reaching the edges of 2-2.5 cm.
Step 8 Cover the filling with a second rolled round layer.
Step 9 Raise the edges of the lower circle to the filling, forming wavy sides. Make a few notches on top so that the cake does not swell when baking, grease with an egg (not necessary).
Step 10 Bake fish pie in an oven preheated to 220˚C until golden brown for about half an hour.
Step 11Serve warm / preheat.
Bon Appetit!
