Ingredients:
- For the test:
- Milk 100 ml.
- Water 100 ml.
- Dry yeast 1/4 teaspoon
- Chicken egg 1 piece
- Sugar 2 tbsp. spoons
- Flour 2.5-3 cups
- For filling:
- Sugar 2 tbsp. spoons
- Sorrel 500 grams
- Pinch of salt
Cooking method:
Step 1. In a small container, mix water with milk and slightly warm. Pour yeast and sugar into it.
Step 2 Pour the yeast mixture into a bowl with flour, add an egg and a pinch of salt. Knead the dough, cover with a towel and leave to rise in a warm place.
Step 3 Rinse sorrel leaves well, shake excess water. Cut and cover with sugar.
Step 4 Next, take the dough to decorate the cake: Leave a small part of the dough to decorate the top. Roll out the main part of the dough and put on a baking sheet so that the sides turn out.
Step 5 Mix the sorrel filling well and put on the dough. From the left part of the dough, make stripes or flagella and decorate the cake. Bake in a preheated oven at 180-200 degrees t for 20-30 minutes. Baking time depends on the oven and the thickness of the dough layer.
