Ingredients:
- Flour 325 grams
- Butter 220 grams
- Pinch of salt
- Sugar 1 tbsp. a spoon
- Cold water 4 tbsp. spoons
- For filling:
- Cherry 3 cups
- Water 190 ml.
- Sugar 100 grams
- Potato starch 2 tbsp. spoons
Cooking method:
Step 1. In a bowl, put sifted flour, salt, sugar, butter and water. Beat the whole mixture with a mixer until the dough is in the form of large lumps.
Step 2 Next, knead the dough with your hands. Make a round and dense ball. Cover it with cling film and put in the refrigerator for an hour.
Step 3 Rinse the cherry and cut each berry in half, remove the stone. In a separate pan, put the prepared sweet cherry and pour it with an incomplete glass of water (190 ml). Put on fire and over low heat it will be necessary to boil it for about 10 minutes.
Step 4 Separately mix sugar with starch and add to the cherry. Mix everything thoroughly so that the sugar and starch are completely dissolved and cook for about 5 minutes, until the filling thickens. Set aside the saucepan so that it cools down.
Step 5 Remove the dough from the refrigerator and cut it into two parts. One piece for the top of the pie will be smaller. From most of the dough you will need to roll a round pancake. Grease the baking dish with butter and put on the bottom of the mold.
Step 6 Gently pour the cherry filling onto the dough.
Step 7 Roll out the second part of the dough and cut it into thin strips. Put these strips on the pie by weaving. You can lay out the strips as you wish, as you want. The oven will need to be preheated to 175 degrees. The cake is baked for about 45 minutes. When the cake has cooled, cut into portions.
