Ingredients:
- Flour 210 grams
- Cornmeal 70 grams

- Pinch of salt
- Butter 130 grams
- Sugar 100 grams
- Chicken egg 1 piece
- Jam 450 grams
Cooking method:
Step 1. Mix dry ingredients - sifted flour, baking powder, salt.
Step 2Separately, beat softened (but not melted) butter and sugar. You can use a food processor or just a whisk, for example. This is a very simple recipe for shortcake with jam, so the process of working with the dough is completely simple.
Step 3 Pour dry ingredients into the oil and knead a uniform dough. Separate a small portion and set aside. Distribute the bulk of the dough in a baking dish.
Step 4 Form the sides and put jam in the middle. You can use it very little or quite a lot - it all depends on your taste preferences.
Step 5 You can experiment with the deferred part of the test. Shortcake with jam can be grated, just cool a piece of dough and grate. You can roll small petals from the dough and cover them with the top. Lubricate the cake for rosy with whipped yolk or sweet syrup. Send to the preheated oven.
