Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- Poppy 1 cup
- Flour 1 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Butter 125 grams
- Baking powder 1 tbsp. a spoon
Cooking method:
Step 1. Pour poppy seeds with two glasses of boiling water. Cook for five minutes. Then let it stand under the lid for about 15-20 minutes. Drain the water using a sieve.
Step 2 Beat egg yolks, softened butter and sugar.
Step 3 Add flour, baking powder and poppy seeds. If desired, you can also put candied fruits or nuts in the dough.
Step 4 Beat egg whites until peaks.
Step 5 Gently mix the proteins into the dough. Put the dough in a greased form.
Step 6 Bake the cake for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees.
