Ingredients:
- Cabbage 1 fork (medium)
- Minced meat 500 grams
- Rice 100 grams
- Onion 1 piece
- Carrot 1 piece
- Salt, black pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. spoons
- For the sauce:
- Sour cream 300 grams
- Tomato paste 1-2 tbsp. spoons
- Garlic 2-3 cloves
Cooking method:
Step 1. In a fork of cabbage, cut a stalk, preferably deeper. Boil water in a large pot (3-4 liter). Add 0.5 teaspoons of citric acid to the water so that the leaves do not tear.
Step 2 Gently dip a cabbage into a pot of boiling water. Hold for 5 minutes to make the leaves soft. Remove pan from heat. Leave the cabbage in hot water for another 10-15 minutes.
Step 3 Peel, wash and chop the onion finely.
Step 4 Peel the carrots, wash and grate them.
Step 5 In minced meat, add washed rice, chopped onions, grated carrots.
Step 7 Salt, pepper to taste and mix.
Step 8 Next, you need to remove the head of cabbage from the pan on a large plate and gently separate the leaves. Remove thickening from each leaf. Spread a tablespoon of prepared meat on each sheet, wrap the top edge, after the side edges of the cabbage and wrap the bottom edge.
Step 9 Next, prepare the sauce. Mix sour cream and tomato paste, mix well.
Step 10 Add garlic squeezed through the garlic press into the sauce and add salt to it. Mix.
Step 11 Fry cabbage rolls in vegetable oil on both sides.
Step 12 Pour the prepared sauce into cabbage rolls and pour water so that it covers cabbage rolls.
Step 13 Cover and simmer for 40-45 minutes.
Step 14 Serve stuffed cabbage with sour cream.
