Cooking method:
Step 1. Boil vegetables: potatoes, beets, carrots. Peel and grate. Boil eggs in a steep one, peel, grate on a coarse grater. Finely chop the onion.
Step 2 Spread the salad in layers: 1st layer - herring cut into slices; 2nd layer - onion.
Step 3 After the 3rd layer - potatoes, richly greased with mayonnaise.
Step 4 Next, the 4th layer is carrots. Grease with mayonnaise.
Step 5 Then the 5th layer is the eggs. Grease with mayonnaise.
Step 6 And the last 6th layer is beets (this layer is the thickest). Grease with mayonnaise. You can decorate the salad with chopped dill or put the salad in the shape of a fish.
