Little children are just beginning to learn the world. It is important for them to touch the surrounding objects. Therefore, most games are aimed specifically at the development of tactile skills and the ability to recognize things in shape and color.
I have collected for you the top of the most interesting sorting games and on the selection of items that are best suited for the development of even the smallest children.
Puzzle cubes
Take ordinary cubes, you can even make them yourself from cardboard. Also pick up a few drawings suitable for the diameter of the cubes, and, preferably, with the image of your favorite cartoon characters. The ideal number for the cubes is 4 pieces, and the figures are 16 pieces.
Drawings must first be cut into vertical lines, then divided into 4 squares. So each square will fall on one of the sides of the cube. Glue the pictures on a cube so that each part of the character’s body is on a specific cube: all heads on one, torso on the other, legs on the third, and so on.
Now invite the baby to choose the most suitable cubes to collect the figures.
Lego collector
This game is from the "collect and show" series. It not only helps the child in visual and tactile perception, but also teaches to count.
First you need to prepare cards:
- We cut ordinary sheets into rectangles and arrange them vertically;
- In the upper corner we write numbers, starting from 2 to 6-7;
- Below we add the number of blocks resembling a constructor corresponding to a digit;
- Each of the blocks is painted with different colors of markers, the shades should be chosen from those suitable for your lego.
Now we show the baby the card and ask to collect exactly such a turret, as in the picture. At the same time, do not forget to count out with your child the number of Lego and name the colors to fix this in his memory.
Hare tail
The game is simple to impossibility and really like kids! For her, it is necessary to prepare:
- Cut bunny figures from colored cardboard;
- To make “ponytails” out of a thread for knitting or cotton wool, each should match the color of the bunny;
- Prepare glue or double-sided tape.
Now invite the child to pick his tail for each bunny. You can ask additional questions: “And where should the tail be? And why did you choose the red tail to the blue bunny? ”
It is best to cut the figures of bunnies of different shapes, so that the child can determine independently where to attach the tail.
Rainbow palette
Another color matching game. To do this, you need to cut out a figure from paper that resembles a palette of colors in shape. Draw on it the appropriate "places" for paints and paint.
Then take the usual wooden clothespins and draw tassels on the sides, painted in the appropriate color palette.
Now invite the baby to find the right brushes and attach them to the colors on the palette.
Macaroni Tower
Macaroni tower is an original alternative to the classic sorting, in which the child needs to pick up toys for the holes in the cube.
For this game you need only plasticine and various types of pasta (spaghetti, penne, rigatoni, rust, radiator). Fix the plasticine on a special board, then stick spaghetti or linguine in the center.
Now the baby can string pasta of various shapes on spaghetti and build their own towers of bizarre shapes.
Bonus: where did the ice cream go?
The game “Where is the ice cream?” Is an alternative to the “Cubes” mentioned above. Only here you will have to use ice cream sticks and your own imagination!
Fold the used sticks so that you get a rectangle or square. Now draw some kind of pattern on them. For kids, something familiar to them and large sizes is suitable, for example: duck, teddy bear, cat, etc.
Shuffle the sticks and give the baby the opportunity to assemble the drawing.
These games are suitable for both the smallest children, and for children 3-4 years old. Games can be complicated by breaking them into new subtasks, asking the child to describe what he sees, to give a characterization.
This will be good practice for brain activity! Do not forget to share your notes with me later, tell me how the baby took the games and what he liked the most!
