What is the "Basket with a spider web": a game-sorter for the development of logic in kids

This game resembles a logical cube with through holes, which is designed for children under 3 years old. However, such a cube is far from always safe for the child. What could go wrong?

  • Allergens may be present in the composition of the plastic;
  • The chemicals used to create the elements of the cube can adversely affect the health of the baby;
  • The child may be injured during the game;
  • If the toys are too small, the baby may well choke or suffocate when he pulls the toy into his mouth.

There may be even more dangers, so I will offer you a free alternative - the game "Basket with a spider web."

Among the lack of financial costs for the game, one can also single out such a plus as absolute security.

To organize the game you will need:

  • Basket with holes / playpen for children / ordinary box - to choose from;
  • Sewing elastic / elastic braid / long flaps of fabric / soft rope;
  • Your child’s toys are preferably large.

Next, we create comfortable conditions for the game. Accordingly, you must first prepare the game itself. We do it as follows:

  • Lower the selected toys to the bottom of the basket;

Do not forget about the appropriate size of the basket with toys, they should cover the bottom, but not be too deep for the child to reach.

  • We take an elastic band or tape and gently tie the tip to one of the holes in the basket (or any other top mount);
  • Next, we begin to "weave a cobweb", that is, stretch the tape between other holes on opposite sides, simulating a spider's web;

Try to keep the gaps between the tapes of different sizes and widths. It is important!

  • Lock the tape carefully.

You should get something similar to the photo shown below.

Now you can offer your child to get toys from the basket. Thus, the baby learns to distinguish between the shape, select the appropriate sizes.

This game will greatly contribute to the development of logical thinking.

Why is it so important to choose large toys?

Choosing larger toys, you will protect the child from possible problems. For example, a baby cannot have a big toy pulled in its mouth, and this eliminates the possibility of choking.

Which toys to give preference?

See best soft options, not without rubber and even plastic. But take plastic only if the toy matches the size you need for the game.

Is it possible to replace toys with something else?

Sure! Give room to your imagination. But remember that the main thing in this case is to protect the child.
