The zoo is one of the most popular summer fun for children, along with a water park and amusement parks. But we have flatly refused to visit any zoos. And here is why this happened, I will tell in more detail.
Just a week ago, we decided to go to the zoo with the whole family.
In general, I am against such entertainments, because I love animals and I think that they can hardly provide decent living conditions.
But, as they say, hope dies last, and I decided that “all of a sudden” everything is not so bad there. Moreover, my daughter has long wanted to look at real penguins.
Honestly, it would be better if we chose a contact zoo, maybe the situation is better there. Although I doubt it. There were no special hopes for a normal pastime, as I already said, but what followed that day was just on the verge of a horror movie!
As a result, what I got at the end of a "fun" day:
- A crying child;
- Exhausted nerves;
- Husband's displeasure;
- Migraine.
Let's start in order. The daughter really burst into tears and very, for a long time, she couldn’t calm her down. And the point is not that she was not allowed to touch someone there, but that she "The little bear is sorry".
And it was necessary to regret absolutely all the animals, and not just my daughter. My husband and I were also shocked by the situation at the zoo.
The content of wild animals in the cells was simply terrible. Aviaries are small, if the cage, then a meter per meter maximum. There is no cleaning either, the animals look exhausted and hungry. Girlfriends say that in other places everything happens the same way.
And if the situation for animals is half the trouble, then I was shocked and disappointed by the behavior of other children and their parents!
Children behaved ugly, threw anything at animals, trying to attract their attention, and parents did not even react.
My husband and I tried to draw the attention of these savages to the behavior of their children, but received only rudeness in response.
As if, I understand that no one should indicate how to raise your child, but at least elementary rules of decency must be observed?
Moreover, their ill-bred children set not the most beautiful example for my child.
I had to explain to my daughter why that boy near us was knocking on the fence and almost climbing over it.
I was hoping that visiting the zoo would help in fostering a love of nature. But everything turned out quite wrong. The only thing this trip helped was in gaining full confidence that we won’t go to the zoo anymore.
Now I actively urge everyone to boycott such entertainment.
