Norway has always attracted tourists with a large number of attractions and incredible landscapes. Now the list of “must see” for tourists has replenished with another interesting place. Snøhetta has opened for visitors the first underwater restaurant in Europe with a symbolic name Under.
Outside, you can’t immediately understand what it is, because the structure itself is half immersed in the sea (5 meters deep). The creators of the project claim that they took everything into account, for example, a meter layer of concrete will protect the restaurant from the harsh climate. He is also responsible for the heat in the room.
The main design elements are huge windows. The first allows you to observe a gradual immersion in water, as it is located along the entire length of the restaurant. And the second goes onto an amazing reef, so sitting at a table you can watch the life of marine life.
In total, the restaurant has 40 seats, so you should not worry about having to sit side by side with other visitors. Tables are located at a sufficient distance from each other. But it will probably be necessary to stand the line outside, because the restaurant in Europe has no analogue yet.
By the way, about the menu. Of course, seafood dishes will prevail here. And to cook them for visitors will be the chef of the Michelin restaurant.
