Healing prayer text
The prayer of St. Luke of Crimea for healing and recovery can be read both for a family member, relative or loved one, and for yourself. Before lit candles, the face of the Lord and the image of his saint read the text:
“O all-blessed confession, to the bishop our father Luko, the great saint of Christ. With tenderness, it’s more tender than the knee of our hearts, and falling to your race of honest and multi-healing relics of yours, we pray mercilessly as children of a father: hear us sinners and bring our prayer to a merciful and philanthropic God, you are now present in the joy of saints and face the angel. We believe more, because you love us with that same love, even the whole neighbor loved you here, dwelling on earth. Ask Christ our God to affirm His child in the spirit of rightful faith and piety: give the shepherds holy zeal and care for the salvation of the people entrusted to them: strengthen the faith of the believer, strengthen the weak and weak in faith, instruct the ignorant, and reproach the nasty. Give us all the gift of someone who is covetous, and all that is useful to temporary life and eternal salvation. Our city of affirmation, the land of fruiting, deliverance from gladness and destruction. To those who mourn the comfort, to those who do not heal healing, who have lost their way on the path of truth, to return a blessing, to bring up and teach children in the Lord’s Passion, help and intercession to be poor and miserable. Give us all your archpastoral blessing, and those who have such a prayer petition, get rid of the wiles of the crafty one and avoid all enmity and disorder, heresies and schisms. Lead us on the path leading to the villages of the righteous and pray for us, God Almighty, in eternal life, let us make you unceasingly glorify the One-Essential and Inseparable Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen".
If a prayer service is read for the health of another person, it is necessary in the process to anoint it with oil. The worshiper himself must cross himself and bow to the icons at the end of the prayer. For a speedy result, the prayer should be repeated every night for several weeks or until complete recovery.
