The life story of Ksenia of Petersburg
Ksenia of Petersburg, also known as Blessed of Christ for the sake of the Holy Fool, was born in the 16th century and does not know anything about her childhood and adolescence. Having married a colonel, by the age of twenty-six she had remained a widow and voluntarily accepted the feat, called the holy foolishness of Christ for the sake of it.
Ksenia wandered around the city during the day, and at night went into the field to pray. She refused the inheritance left by her husband and began to live in poverty, only occasionally taking clothes (always the same tones that her husband wore during her lifetime) and copper coins, which she immediately gave to the poor.
