Effective prayer for the martyr John the Warrior has been used by Orthodox believers for many centuries, despite the fact that the figure of the saint himself is perceived quite ambiguously. Who is the Martyr John the Warrior?
Slav John lived in the fourth century AD. At the beginning of his life, he was a warrior in the service of Roman Caesar Flavius Claudius Julian, nicknamed the Apostate, during which John participated in the persecution of Christians. In modern terms, he was a double agent. As a Roman soldier, John helped captive Christians to escape, gave them information about the upcoming raids and helped the wounded. When the truth was revealed, the Emperor the Apostate ordered the soldier to be thrown into prison, where he suffered great torment.
John was to be executed, but soon the emperor was killed in one of the battles, and the prisoner was released into the wild. Until old, he continued to preach the basics of Christianity. According to the Orthodox calendar, his day falls on July 30.

Prayer from the Abuser

If there is a chance to resolve the conflict with the offender directly or with the assistance of loved ones, use it. But sometimes this is impossible: for example, a skirmish occurred in a supermarket or on the street, and you saw your oppressor for the first and last time in your life. In order not to harbor a heavy feeling, turn to St. John with a prayer for resentment:
“Oh, the great Christ martyr John, the faithful champion, enemies of the persecutor and offended intercessor. Hear us, in the troubles and sorrows of those who pray to you, grace from God is given to you, the sad consolation, the weak help, the innocent from death in vain to deliver and pray for all evil sufferers.Be wise and our champion is strong against all our visible and invisible enemies, as long as your help and conquest for us shame all who are evil to us. Pray to our Lord, that we may be likened to sinful and unworthy slaves to receive from Him an indescribable good, even prepared for those who love Him, in the Trinity of the Holy, praise the glory of God, always, now and evermore and forever and ever. Amen".
Remember that after praying, you should let go of resentment from the soul and continue to live in peace, not remembering what happened. This is the most reasonable step for your good.

Religion teaches that one cannot be sad for a long time, especially if it is a material object. To let go of the situation and restore peace of mind, ask for the support of the martyr John. The prayer for the lost thing addressed to him is quite large in volume.

Upon the death of the wicked king, being released from prison, you spent the rest of your life in great virtues until your death, adorning yourself with purity, prayer and fasting, serving the beggar with abundant alms, visiting the weak and comforting the mourners. Therefore, in all the sorrows of our helper and in all the troubles that happen to us: we have a comforter, John the warrior: when you come to us, we pray that you be the healer of our passions and our spiritual deliverer, because you have received from God useful power to save everyone serve, the ever-memorable John, strangers feeder, captive liberator, feeble doctor: orphans assistant! Look at us, who honor your sacred joyful memory, intercede for before the Lord, to be our heirs to his kingdom. Hear and do not reject us, and hurry to intercession to us, John Stratilatus, who reveals thieves and kidnappers, and the theft, secretly committed by them, faithfully revealing to you, revealing to you, and bringing people back to their joy. Resentment and injustice are difficult for every person, everyone is sad about the loss of stolen, or missing. About the return of the stolen
It's one thing to lose a valuable item yourself. In a completely different way, the loss is felt if the favorite thing was stolen. The Bible angrily condemns theft and condemns the kidnapper. In order to enlist the help of higher forces and pray for the return of the stolensay so:
“Oh, martyr of Christ John the Warrior! Brave in braneh, and the fast defender of Orthodox Christians in troubles and misfortunes, according to this grace from God! Be our champion strong on all our visible and invisible enemies. Grant victory to our army against our enemies, that those who oppose us will be humble and understand, and that they will know the true God and His holy Orthodox Church. We sinners, let us be honored to glorify the Lord our Savior in his kingdom, together with you forever. Amen".
An appeal to the saint regarding the regaining of things that were stolen can be pronounced using the text of the prayer for the lost thing. “O great martyr of Christ, John, Orthodox champion, enemies of the persecutor and offended intercessor! Hear us, in the troubles and sorrows of those who pray to you, grace from God is given to you, the sad consolation, the weak help, the innocent in vain death to deliver and pray for all evil sufferers. Prayer from the Enemies
To live life so as not to come into conflict with anyone is almost impossible. A true Christian is obliged to forgive his enemies, but this will not protect him from their appearance. Some strangers act strictly in their personal interests, disregarding the opinions of others, and this inevitably leads to the appearance of friction. If hostility not initiated by you interferes with life and brings a lot of suffering, It is worth calling for God's help, asking for protection through the mediation of John the Warrior:
“Oh, the great martyr of Christ, John, a true champion of the rights of Christians, a powerful persecutor of enemies and the protector of all offended. Hear us who turn to you in their own troubles and sorrows, sincerely creating prayers for you. Grace has been bestowed upon you by the Lord Himself, to console the sorrows of people and help the weak. You can use your power to save those who call upon you from vain death, because in heaven you pray for all those who suffer. Be our protector fair and strong, protect us from our enemies visible and invisible. By your struggle against evil all those who are trying to harm us and offend us will be put to shame. I beg you, implore the Lord God, to bless us with the blessing of us unworthy and sinful. So that we receive blessings for earthly life. We praise the Lord Almighty and Almighty, we believe and we bow our heads. Amen".
You must be aware that petition to the saint should not be based on the desire to punish enemies. Any negative feeling is not approved by the Orthodox faith. Your persecutors are unhappy because anger lives in their souls. Remember this and do not become like them, be higher.
